Carriage Mounted Spreader Bars - As the name implies, this particular mast has 3 sections. The external section mounts securely to the lift truck. The next intermediate section telescopes within the external part. The inmost part telescopes within the middle part. The internal part and the middle part both raise as the lift cylinders lengthen. Once again in this model, the fork carriage rides inside the internal section. The 3 stage mast provides a shorter lowered height compared to the 2 stage mast. The common usage of the 3 stage mast is in areas such as doorways where overhead clearances are restricted. This particular mast is normally equipped with a center cylinder to allow the fork carriage elevate a few distance before the mast sections commence extension.
The 2 Stage Mast consists of two parts. The inner part telescopes inside of the outer and elevates while the lift cylinders lengthen. The outer section of this mast model is mounted to the lift truck. The fork carriage is actually positioned in the inner part.
